The RCC is the first humanitarian institution opened by the Government of the Russian Federation in the People’s Republic of China.
The RCC’s aim is to familiarise the Chinese public with Russia’s achievements in various areas, its spiritual heritage and high scientific and cultural potential, to help expand bilateral cultural, educational, scientific, and business ties, as well as to support the Russian language.
The RCC hosts numerous interesting and versatile events designed to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of Russia and China. These include performances by popular Russian and Chinese ensembles and cultural figures, presentations of the scientific, economic and investment potential of Russia’s regions, numerous forums, roundtables, lectures, workshops, meetings of Russian and Chinese youth, art and photograph exhibitions, film showings, concerts of classical and modern Russian music, theatrical performances, literary and poetry recitals, and more.
One of the most important aspects of its effort is the popularisation and support of Russian studies in the PRC. The RCC sponsors various creative clubs and art studios.
